The Recap:
No “new” songs this week. Though it was the second time for Salvation is Here and The Stand. I probably maxed the “new” factor for people this week in song selection, but the songs fit with Pastor John’s message from Philippians 1:27‐30 … “Whatever Happens, Stand Firm!“.
During the greeting and encouragement time in the second service, I could just sense a heaviness as I interacted with a few people. After we sang You Alone, we paused and (in preparation for PJ’s message) I asked people to take a few seconds and prayerfully give God whatever “thing” they were holding tightly this morning. You know, that “thing” that often prevents us from focusing on the message or what God is trying to say to us through His Word. I pray people were able to lay aside the “stuff” going on and be encouraged, challenged, convicted,…whatever they needed from God’s word to be a better worshiper of Him.
A great morning! Hope yours was also…
