What’s one piece of technology you can’t live without?
My answer:
Yes, my iPhone… (photo was staged by my loving wife last weekend. I love her, so I played along…)
OK, I could live without my iPhone, and probably most tech items. The thing is, these useful devices have become such a part of our lives in general that it’s difficult to imagine life without them.
Karen and I saw “The King’s Speech” last week. As we were talking about it later that day, one of the things that struck us was how the average British citizen did not recognize Berte (aka King George VI) before he became king. Basically, this type of situation does not happen in modern society now. Most people have a hi-quality camera and video device on their person…at all times. There is pretty much no anonymity or privacy any longer.
Technology has infiltrated most of modern society to a point of no return. I guess that says something about us…
Anyway… Yes, I really like my iPhone…but the truth is, I could live without it.
