Following suite with yesterday’s run, I did an unofficial “race” this morning: Lake Hefner 10K. Mind you, it wasn’t one of my speedier 10Ks, as I kept my self in check, stuck with the “easy” plan, remembering that I’m supposed to be on taper.
I actually planned on a stationary bike ride in the hotel fitness center, but just didn’t want to be cooped up. I scratched that last night, decided on the equivalent caloric burn run distance, and planned a 3.2, hotel / Lake Hefner, out and back route. I made it ahead of the rain too, though there was a significant headwind on the return.
Oh, and the mammal sighting count today was:
- Skunk: 2
- Raccoon: 1
- People: 0
Looking forward to heading home tomorrow!
