…who is with me?

…leaving the doctor’s office with them happy and pleased – especially after my “heart thing” a few years ago.
Don’t get me wrong, I really like my doctor; but not seeing her for a year will be nice.
The pressure is on to “keep up the great work.”
So, as Cosmo would say,
1. sometimes life sucks.
2. there is a Plan and Purpose.
that is all.

Having pretty much logged everything I’ve eaten since January 2010, this story is pretty interesting. I may have to try something like this…
Lauren Manning documented her life for two years, collected all the data of every piece of food that touched her lips.

I find these quotes comforting. Not solely for their content, but the identity of the person who thought/penned them:
“The burden is too heavy for me.”
— Moses, Numbers 11:14
“Life’s been nothing but trouble and tears”
— Jeremiah, Jeremiah 20:18
“How long must I wrestle with my thoughts and
day after day have sorrow in my heart?”
— David, Psalm 13:2
“When anxiety was great within me,
your consolation brought me joy.”
— Psalmist, Psalm 94:19

A little over a week ago, I linked a story about a man who has kept his arm raised for 38 years…check this out.

How far would you be willing to go if a person you trusted or put your faith in told you to do or not do something?
Am I the only one who is bugged by the latest Facebook “Timeline” and Google Chrome “Dear Sophie” commercials?
I guess at one time I thought
lives were without
hardship…
…if they showed too much reality,
those commercials would
be depressing*.
maybe i have a bitterness in me
(when I wrote that, I heard Daniel Day-Lewis from There will be Blood in my mind-
just that line, not the other parts from that scene…don’t get worried)
ok, i’m done now…
[*OK, for the record, the Dear Sophie one has a part about their baby being in the hospital]

My car warranty ran out last month
Since then, I’ve been rear-ended and now my transmission is hosed

How far would you go for your beliefs?
“If any of you wants to be my follower, you must turn from your selfish ways, take up your cross, and follow me.”
— Jesus (Matthew 16:24 [NLT])
My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
— Paul (Galatians 2:20 [NLT])
