20-mile easy ride8-mile easy run - Comments: Today was supposed to be a 20-mile ride, but I dropped my bike off at Sports Basement last night to fix a gearing issue I noticed on Sunday and Monday and to replace the chain. With 18 days to go until Foxy’s, I wanted to get them fixed ASAP. So, I swapped Tuesday and Wednesday’s sessions. I ended up running 10.3 miles @ 8:36 avg pace, avg cadence 95 & a run time of 1:29:03. [Strava]

Training Journal – 9/17/13:
- Current plan: Foxy’s Fall Century Training Plan
- Today’s session: 20-mile stationary ride
- Comments: Final day of my biz trip, so I used the hotel fitness center again. Yep, getting my time in the saddle… I rode for 1:00:00 for 17.45 miles @ 17.5 mph avg on the sit-down bike machine. (I couldn’t get 20 miles in, since people were waiting for machines.) Since I travel home tomorrow and probably wouldn’t get a workout in, I threw in an easy 5K run on the treadmill after the ride…for good measure. I did 3.25 miles @ 8:57 avg pace.
Not that I was board at lunch; but, I always wondered if the earth would stop or something if I looped two PCs using GoToMyPC.
We’re still here, so I guess it’s Ok…

Had a nice, lazy, Labor Day…but that’s the way it’s supposed to be. Slept in until 0520(!), went for a nice ride, had pancakes, worked around the yard, took a short nap in my recliner, and now heading off to dinner.
Oh, and I also planned out my race calendar through the end of 2013 too! Woohoo!
All in all, a nice holiday… Hope you had a great one as well.

I apologize for any time/space continuum interruptions or issues that may have occurred this morning between 0416 and 0523 PDT or that may occur throughout the rest of the day.
For the first time, I ran the opposite direction on my usual, 8-mile route.
It felt weird, but was a nice change…and, at the risk of future time/space impacts, I may do it again.
Giddy-Up!

Yesterday, my wife asked me to find a couple of pictures she took back in April of 2008 for something.
As I was scanning the computer for them, I stumbled across a few “Old Me” photos from a trip we took to Disneyland at that time.
Nothing like an “Old Me” pic to make the “New Me” feel good.
I know the guy on the left could have never imagined doing the stuff below.
Sometimes, the guy on the right still can’t either…
Giddy – Up!
